  • Gospel: Luke 3: 15-16, 21-22
Brief Homily

Today we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord, where Jesus, though sinless, chose to be baptized to show His solidarity with us. In the Gospel, we hear that as Jesus prayed, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him, and God the Father declared, “You are my Son, whom I love.” This moment reminds us of our own baptism, where we too receive the Holy Spirit and become children of God. Through Jesus, we are offered forgiveness, grace, and a new life. Just as Jesus received the Spirit and heard God’s voice, we too are called to listen to God’s voice in our lives and live according to His will. Let us reflect on our baptism and renew our commitment to follow Christ faithfully.

Morning Prayer

Lord, thank You for the gift of baptism, where we received Your Holy Spirit and became Your children. Help us to live in solidarity with others, just as Jesus stood with us. Open our ears to hear Your voice guiding us and renew our hearts to live in grace. May we reflect Your love in all we do and walk in Your light today. We trust in Your strength and grace. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Inspiration Message
  1. Solidarity with Jesus: Jesus, though sinless, chose to be baptized to show He stands with us in our human struggles. We are called to follow His example and support one another in our faith journeys.
  2. Receiving the Holy Spirit: At our baptism, we receive the Holy Spirit, just as Jesus did. This gives us the strength to live as true children of God and follow His guidance.
  3. Listening to God’s Voice: When God spoke to Jesus, He declared His love and approval. We are called to listen for God’s voice in our lives and trust His direction.
  4. Renewing Our Baptismal Vows: The Baptism of the Lord invites us to reflect on our own baptism. Let’s renew our commitment to live out the grace we received in baptism.
  5. Living in Grace: Through baptism, we are given forgiveness and grace. Let us live according to God’s will, allowing His grace to guide our daily actions.
