In today’s Gospel, we see John the Baptist humbly accepting his role in God’s plan. He knows that his mission is to prepare the way for Jesus, and he joyfully steps aside when Jesus’ ministry begins to grow. John’s words remind us that we must always decrease so that Christ may increase in our lives. Our joy should come from knowing that we are part of God’s plan, not from seeking glory for ourselves. As we continue our journey of faith, let us embrace humility, giving God the glory He deserves, and allowing Jesus to be the center of our lives. Like John, we are called to point others to Christ, bringing them closer to Him through our actions and words.
Lord, thank you for this new day. Help me to humble myself and let You be the center of my life. May I find joy in serving Your purpose and pointing others to You. Help me decrease so that You can increase in my heart and actions. Guide my thoughts and deeds to bring glory to Your name today. I trust in Your plan for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
