In today’s readings, we are reminded to remain firm in the truth of Christ. In the first reading, St. John warns against those who deny that Jesus is the Messiah. It is essential to hold on to the truth we have received, for it leads to eternal life. The psalm rejoices in God’s salvation, a salvation that is made known to all people. In the Gospel, John the Baptist testifies that Jesus is the Lamb of God. He humbly points to Jesus, recognizing that He is the one who brings salvation.
Let us remain faithful to the truth of Christ, share His light, and testify to His salvation with humility, just as John the Baptist did.
Lord, help me stay firm in the truth of who You are and never be swayed by false teachings. Thank You for Your salvation, which is for all people. Like John the Baptist, teach me to humbly share Your love with others and point them to You. May I always recognize Jesus as the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Guide me today to testify to Your love and truth. Amen. May the almighty God bless you, The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen”
