Today’s readings invite us to reflect on the power of Jesus as the Savior of the world. In the first reading, St. John encourages us to live as children of God, knowing that when Christ appears, we will be made like Him. This calls us to purify ourselves and live in righteousness. The psalm celebrates God’s salvation, which is visible to all the earth. In the Gospel, John the Baptist points to Jesus and declares Him as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is the one who cleanses us from sin and offers us eternal life.
Let us strive to live as children of God, following the example of Jesus and sharing His salvation with others.
Lord, help me live as Your child today, seeking purity and righteousness in all I do. Thank You for sending Jesus, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. May I share Your salvation with others and point them to Jesus, just as John the Baptist did. Guide me in living with holiness and love, and help me grow closer to You every day. Amen. May the almighty God bless you, The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen”
