- Psalm: 119: 89-91, 130, 135, 175 (Forever is your word, O Lord.)
- Gospel: Luke 17: 20-25
A Brief Homily
In today’s readings, we are reminded that true wisdom comes from God and fills everything with goodness and order. The Book of Wisdom tells us that God’s wisdom is gentle, loving, and powerful—it guides the world and the hearts of those who seek it. The Psalm reminds us that God’s word stands firm forever; His promises never fail. In the Gospel, Jesus teaches that the Kingdom of God is not something to look for in the sky or far away—it is already among us, alive in our hearts when we live with love, justice, and faith. Let us open our hearts to God’s wisdom so that His Kingdom may shine through our actions every day.
Inspiration Message
- Seek God’s Wisdom Daily – True wisdom comes from God. Pray for understanding before making decisions and let His Spirit guide your thoughts and actions.
- Trust in God’s Word – God’s promises never fail. Read the Bible often and believe that His Word will strengthen and guide you in every situation.
- Live the Kingdom Now – The Kingdom of God is already within us. Show love, kindness, and fairness in your daily life; that’s how God’s Kingdom grows on earth.
- Let Your Actions Reflect Faith – Live in a way that others can see God through you. Be honest, humble, and forgiving.
- Stay Hopeful and Prayerful – Even when life feels dark, remember that God’s wisdom brings light, peace, and direction to those who trust in Him.
Morning Prayer
Loving God, thank You for this new day. Fill my heart with Your wisdom and guide my thoughts, words, and actions. Help me to trust in Your Word and to live as a true child of Your Kingdom. Teach me to love, forgive, and bring peace wherever I go. Let Your light shine through me today so that others may see Your goodness. Stay with me, Lord, and bless all my plans. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
FRIDAY OF THE THIRTY-SECOND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME – YEAR C
- First reading: Wisdom 13: 1-9
- Psalm: 19: 2-5 (The heavens declare the glory of God)
- Gospel: Luke 17: 26-37
A Brief Homily
Today’s readings remind us to open our eyes to God’s presence in creation and in our daily lives. The Book of Wisdom tells us that the beauty of the world points to its Creator. When we see the sun, stars, and all nature, we should recognize the hand of God who made them. Yet many people admire creation but forget the Creator. In the Gospel, Jesus warns that life can change suddenly—just as in the days of Noah and Lot. People were busy with ordinary things and ignored God’s call. Let us not be distracted by worldly pleasures. Instead, let us stay ready, faithful, and aware that God is always near, guiding us toward eternal life.
Inspiration Message
- See God in Creation – Every part of nature shows God’s power and beauty. When you look at the sky, trees, or stars, remember to thank the Creator.
- Don’t Forget the Giver – Enjoy the good things of life, but never forget the One who gives them. Always honor God above His gifts.
- Stay Spiritually Awake – Life can change at any moment. Be ready by living in friendship with God each day.
- Choose Faith Over Distraction – Don’t let worldly pleasures or worries make you forget what truly matters—your relationship with God.
- Live with Eternal Hope – Remember that this world is temporary. Keep your heart fixed on heaven and live in a way that prepares you for eternal life.
Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the beauty of creation that reminds me of Your power and love. Help me to see You in all things and never forget that You are the Giver of every good gift. Keep me awake in faith and free from distractions that lead me away from You. Strengthen my hope in eternal life and guide my words and actions today, so that I may live to please You. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
SATURDAY OF THE THIRTY-SECOND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME – YEAR C
- First reading: Wisdom 18: 14-16; 19: 6-9
- Psalm: 105: 2-3, 36-37, 42-43 (Remember the Wonders the Lord has done)
- Gospel: Luke 18: 1-8
A Brief Homily
Today’s readings remind us that God’s power and faithfulness never fail. In the Book of Wisdom, we hear how God rescued His people from slavery and made a dry path through the sea. God’s wonders show that He is always near to those who trust Him. The Psalm calls us to remember these mighty deeds with joy and gratitude. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the story of a widow who never gave up asking for justice. Her persistence won her answer. God invites us to pray like her—with faith that never tires. Even when answers seem delayed, God listens and acts in His perfect time. Let us keep praying, believing, and trusting in the Lord who always saves and cares for us.
Inspiration Message
- Remember God’s Past Wonders – Think often about how God has helped you before; it strengthens your faith for today’s challenges.
- Trust in God’s Power – No situation is too hard for God. He can make a way even where there seems to be none.
- Pray Without Giving Up – Like the widow, keep praying with faith and patience. God always hears, even when answers delay.
- Be Joyful and Thankful – Praise God for His goodness every day. Gratitude keeps your heart strong in faith.
- Live with Hope – God is faithful. Stay hopeful in hard times, knowing He will act at the right time for your good.
Morning Prayer
Loving Father, thank You for this new day and for all the wonders You have done in my life. Help me to remember Your goodness and to trust in Your power always. Teach me to pray without giving up, believing that You hear me in Your perfect time. Fill my heart with joy, gratitude, and hope. Guide my steps today, and let my life show Your love and faithfulness to others. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
THIRTY-THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME – YEAR C
- First Reading: Malachi 4:1-2a
- Psalm: 98:5-9 (The Lord comes to rule the earth with justice.)
- Second Reading: 2 Thessalonians 3:7-12
- Gospel: Luke 21:5-19
A Brief Homily
Jesus warns His disciples that trials, persecution, and even destruction will come, but His followers should not lose hope. He promises, “Not a hair of your head will perish. By your perseverance you will secure your lives.” The prophet Malachi speaks of the day of the Lord as a day of justice: evil will be destroyed, and the faithful will find healing in God’s presence. Paul reminds us that Christian life is not about idleness but about active, responsible living. Our hope is not shaken by fear but strengthened by trust in God’s saving power.
Inspirational Message:
- Persevere in faith – Jesus assures us that endurance through trials leads to life. Hardships are not signs of defeat but paths to victory.
- Live responsibly – St. Paul challenges us to avoid idleness. True discipleship means working faithfully, serving others, and being accountable before God.
- Do not fear the future – The day of the Lord is not for fear but for hope, because God’s justice will bring peace and healing to His faithful people.
- Witness with courage – Jesus says persecution will provide an opportunity to testify. Every challenge is a chance to stand boldly for Christ.
- Justice will prevail – Evil may seem powerful now, but God’s judgment is certain. Trust that His righteousness will overcome injustice and restore all things.
Morning Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are my strength in times of trial. As I begin this day, grant me courage to persevere in faith and to live responsibly in love and service. Remove fear from my heart and fill me with the hope of Your justice and peace. Help me to witness boldly to Your truth and to trust that You will guard me in every struggle. May my life today reflect my faith in You. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
