April 14, 2025 - April 16, 2025

MONDAY OF THE HOLY WEEK

  • First reading: Isaiah 42:1-7
  • Psalm: 27:1, 2, 3, 13-14 (The Lord is my light and my help.)

Brief Homily

Isaiah prophesies about the servant of God, gentle yet powerful, bringing justice and hope to the nations. In Psalm 27, we find refuge in the Lord, our light and salvation. In John’s Gospel, Mary anoints Jesus’ feet with costly perfume, symbolizing extravagant love and devotion. These readings remind us of God’s unwavering presence, offering light in darkness and hope in despair. Let’s emulate Mary’s extravagant love, pouring out our hearts to Jesus, who brings light, salvation, and comfort to our lives and to all the world.

 Inspiration Message

  2. Trusting God’s Light: Like the Psalmist, rely on God as your light and salvation, finding refuge and strength in His presence during challenging times.
  3. Extravagant Love: Follow Mary’s example in John’s Gospel by pouring out your love for Jesus without reservation, demonstrating sincere devotion and adoration.

  5. Bringing Justice: Live out God’s call for justice by advocating for fairness and righteousness in your interactions with others, reflecting His character in your daily life.
Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father, As we start this new day, we find comfort in Your presence. Help us to embody the gentle strength of Your servant, bringing hope to those around us. Like Mary, may our love for Jesus be extravagant and sincere. Be our light and salvation, guiding us through any darkness we may face. Grant us the courage to spread Your love and bring justice to the world. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Brief Homily

Isaiah foretells of a servant chosen by God to bring salvation to the ends of the earth. In Psalm 71, we express gratitude for God’s constant help and protection.
