In today’s Gospel, Jesus calls Simon Peter to follow Him. Peter, feeling unworthy, says, “Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.” Yet, Jesus chooses him anyway! Like Peter, Isaiah also felt unworthy when he saw God’s glory, but God purified him and sent him on a mission.
God does not call the perfect—He perfects the called! When we feel weak, God’s grace is enough. He asks us to trust Him, step out in faith, and follow Him. Let us respond like Isaiah: “Here I am, Lord, send me!” Say yes to God’s call today!
Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me despite my weaknesses. Like Isaiah and Peter, I surrender my doubts and fears to You. Strengthen my faith to trust in Your plan, even when I don’t understand. Cleanse my heart and renew my spirit so I may serve You joyfully. Help me to say, “Here I am, send me!” May my life be a light that draws others to You. Amen. May the almighty God bless you, The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen
