Brief Homily

Today’s readings remind us of the importance of living as true children of God. In the first reading, St. John warns us that those who live in sin do not belong to God. We are called to live in righteousness and love, just as Jesus did. The psalm celebrates God’s salvation, a gift that is seen by all people. In the Gospel, John the Baptist points to Jesus, and two of his disciples follow Him. When they encounter Jesus, they recognize Him as the Messiah and decide to follow Him.

Let us follow the example of the disciples, choosing to follow Jesus each day. By living in His love and truth, we show that we are truly His children.

Morning Prayer

Lord, help me live today as Your child, following Your example of love and righteousness. Guide me to stay away from sin and live in purity. Thank You for Your salvation, and help me share Your love with others. Like the disciples, may I choose to follow Jesus every day, growing closer to Him. Let my actions reflect Your truth, so that the world may see Your love in me. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
