SUMMARY:2ND JANUARY\, 2025. THE OCTAVE OF THE NATIVITY OF THE LORD
DESCRIPTION:First reading: 1 John 2: 22-28\nPsalm:98: 1-4 (All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God)\nGospel: John 1: 19-28\n\nA Brief Homily\nIn today’s readings\, we are reminded to remain firm in the truth of Christ. In the first reading\, St. John warns against those who deny that Jesus is the Messiah. It is essential to hold on to the truth we have received\, for it leads to eternal life. The psalm rejoices in God’s salvation\, a salvation that is made known to all people. In the Gospel\, John the Baptist testifies that Jesus is the Lamb of God. He humbly points to Jesus\, recognizing that He is the one who brings salvation. \nLet us remain faithful to the truth of Christ\, share His light\, and testify to His salvation with humility\, just as John the Baptist did. \nMorning Prayer\nLord\, help me stay firm in the truth of who You are and never be swayed by false teachings. Thank You for Your salvation\, which is for all people. Like John the Baptist\, teach me to humbly share Your love with others and point them to You. May I always recognize Jesus as the Lamb of God\, who takes away the sins of the world. Guide me today to testify to Your love and truth. Amen. May the almighty God bless you\, The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen” \nPractical Inspirational Insights\n\nHold Firm to the Truth of Christ: Like St. John warns\, stay strong in your faith and the truth of who Jesus is. Do not be swayed by those who deny Him.\nGod’s Salvation is for Everyone: The psalm reminds us that God’s salvation is known to all. Share this good news with everyone you meet.\nHumility in Sharing Christ: Like John the Baptist\, humbly point others to Jesus. SUMMARY:1st January - THE OCTAVE OF THE NATIVITY OF THE LORD SOLEMNITY OF MARY THE HOLY MOTHER OF GOD
DESCRIPTION:THE OCTAVE OF THE NATIVITY OF THE LORD SOLEMNITY OF MARY THE HOLY MOTHER OF GOD\n\nFirst reading: Numbers 6: 22-27\n Psalm:67: 2-6\, 8\, (O God\, be gracious and bless us) \nSecond reading: Galatians 4: 4-7 \nGospel: Luke 2: 16-21\n\nA Brief Homily\nToday\, we celebrate Mary\, the mother of Jesus and the Mother of God. In the first reading\, we hear God’s blessing upon His people\, calling us to live in peace and to trust in His protection. This blessing is fulfilled in Mary\, who brought Jesus\, the Savior\, into the world. In Galatians\, Paul reminds us that through Jesus\, we are adopted as children of God\, becoming part of His family. In the Gospel\, we see the shepherds visiting Mary and Jesus\, praising God for the incredible gift of the Savior. \nLet us\, like Mary\, trust in God’s plan for us and be open to His blessings\, living as His children\, and sharing His love with the world. \nMorning Prayer\nLord\, thank You for the blessing of being Your child. Like Mary\, help me trust in Your plan for my life and embrace Your will. Fill me with Your love and peace today. May I share the gift of Jesus with everyone I meet\, bringing light and joy to the world. Guide me in living as Your child\, reflecting Your love in all my actions. Bless my day and keep me close to You. Amen. May the almighty God bless you\, The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen” \nPractical Inspirational Insights\n\nTrust in God’s Blessing: Just as God blesses His people in the first reading\, trust that His blessings are always with you\, guiding you in peace and protection.\nYou Are a Child of God: Through Jesus\, we are adopted as God’s children. SUMMARY:Prayer: 20th December 2024
DESCRIPTION:Heavenly Father\, in my life I experience people being nasty to me. Today if someone should be nasty\, help me to be courteous in return. I meet people who are unkind to me: today if I meet any such\, help me to be kind to them in return and when an occasion arises\, help me to generously assist them in their needs. Lord\, today when I meet people who hurt me\, insult me\, ignore me or even injure me\, help me to forgive them as Jesus did in a much worse situation – hanging on the cross. This is difficult\, Lord. But it must have been even more difficult for Jesus. If I love you\, I know I will not find it so difficult. Then help me to love you so. I ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
