In the Gospel\, we hear that as Jesus prayed\, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him\, and God the Father declared\, “You are my Son\, whom I love.” This moment reminds us of our own baptism\, where we too receive the Holy Spirit and become children of God. Let us reflect on our baptism and renew our commitment to follow Christ faithfully. \nMorning Prayer\nLord\, thank You for the gift of baptism\, where we received Your Holy Spirit and became Your children. Guide me to stay away from sin and live in purity. Thank You for Your salvation\, and help me share Your love with others. Like the disciples\, may I choose to follow Jesus every day\, growing closer to Him. Let my actions reflect Your truth\, so that the world may see Your love in me. SUMMARY:Prayer: 20th December 2024
DESCRIPTION:Heavenly Father\, in my life I experience people being nasty to me. Today if someone should be nasty\, help me to be courteous in return. I meet people who are unkind to me: today if I meet any such\, help me to be kind to them in return and when an occasion arises\, help me to generously assist them in their needs. Lord\, today when I meet people who hurt me\, insult me\, ignore me or even injure me\, help me to forgive them as Jesus did in a much worse situation – hanging on the cross. This is difficult\, Lord. But it must have been even more difficult for Jesus. If I love you\, I know I will not find it so difficult. Then help me to love you so. I ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
