SUMMARY:3RD JANUARY\, 2025 - THE OCTAVE OF THE NATIVITY OF THE LORD
DESCRIPTION:First reading: 1 John 2: 29-3: 6 \nPsalm:98: 1\, 3-6 (All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God) \nGospel: John 1: 29-34\n\n\nA Brief Homily\nToday’s readings invite us to reflect on the power of Jesus as the Savior of the world. In the first reading\, St. John encourages us to live as children of God\, knowing that when Christ appears\, we will be made like Him. This calls us to purify ourselves and live in righteousness. The psalm celebrates God’s salvation\, which is visible to all the earth. In the Gospel\, John the Baptist points to Jesus and declares Him as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus is the one who cleanses us from sin and offers us eternal life. \nLet us strive to live as children of God\, following the example of Jesus and sharing His salvation with others. \nMorning Prayer\nLord\, help me live as Your child today\, seeking purity and righteousness in all I do. Thank You for sending Jesus\, the Lamb of God\, who takes away the sins of the world. May I share Your salvation with others and point them to Jesus\, just as John the Baptist did. Guide me in living with holiness and love\, and help me grow closer to You every day. Amen. May the almighty God bless you\, The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen” \nPractical Inspirational Insights\n\nLive as Children of God: St. John calls us to live in purity and righteousness as children of God.
