FEAST OF MARY MAGDALENE

July 21 - July 23
  • First reading: Song 3:1-4
  • Psalm: 63: 2-5, 7-8 (For you my soul thirsts oh Lord)
  • Gospel: John 20:1-2, 11-18
 A Brief Homily

Mary Magdalene teaches us deep love and devotion to Jesus. Like the bride in the Song of Songs searching for her beloved, Mary searched for Jesus with a longing heart. Even in sorrow, she did not give up. Her reward? She was the first to see the risen Lord! Her tears turned into joy, and she became the first witness of the Resurrection. As followers of Christ, we are called to love Him deeply, seek Him earnestly, and share the Good News with others, just like Mary did. When we truly seek Jesus, He reveals Himself to us in love. Amen

Inspiration Message
  1. Love Jesus deeply – Like Mary Magdalene, let your heart be full of love for Jesus. Make Him your greatest treasure and friend.
  2. Seek God with all your heart – Even when you feel lost or confused, don’t give up searching for the Lord. He will reveal Himself to you.
  3. Stay close to Jesus in difficult times – Mary stayed even when things were painful. Stay faithful through struggles and you’ll find hope.
  4. Let God turn your tears into joy – When we bring our sorrow to Jesus, He comforts us and brings peace to our hearts.
  5. Share your faith with others – Mary ran to tell the disciples about Jesus. We are also called to tell others that Jesus is alive and loves them.
Morning Prayer

Dear Jesus, thank You for this new day. Like Mary Magdalene, help me to love You with all my heart and to keep searching for You always. In my sadness, remind me that You are near, ready to turn my tears into joy. Teach me to stay close to You in hard times and give me courage to share Your love with others. May I walk today with faith, hope, and deep love for You. Amen. May the Almighty God Bless you, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
