Today’s readings remind us of God’s wisdom and power. Sirach tells us that all wisdom comes from God; it is beyond human understanding. The Gospel shows Jesus healing a boy possessed by a spirit, teaching us that faith and prayer can overcome even the most difficult challenges. When the disciples struggled, Jesus reminded them that only through deep faith and prayer can miracles happen. In our lives, when we face struggles, doubts, or fears, let us turn to God in prayer. The disciples wanted to stop a man casting out demons in Jesus’ name because he was not part of their group. But Jesus corrects them, saying, “Whoever is not against us is for us.”
