In today’s readings, we see a theme of obedience to God’s will. Hebrews reminds us that sacrifices alone cannot perfect us; rather, Jesus’ perfect obedience redeems us. The Psalm echoes this call: “Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your will.” In the Gospel, Jesus emphasizes that anyone who does God’s will is His family.
St. Thomas Aquinas teaches in the Summa Theologica that “The will of God is the supreme rule of justice.” Let us strive to align our choices with God’s will, becoming true members of Christ’s family and instruments of His love.
Heavenly Father, here I am, ready to do Your will today. Guide my thoughts, words, and actions to align with Your purpose. Help me trust in Your plan and find joy in being part of Christ’s family. Teach me to live with faith beyond rituals, inspired by the wisdom of St. Thomas Aquinas. Fill me with Your Spirit so I may love and serve You faithfully. Thank You for Your constant love and guidance. Amen. May the almighty God bless you, The Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen
