Brief Homily
Today is Gaudete Sunday, a day to rejoice because the Lord is near! The first reading and the psalm remind us to celebrate God’s presence among us. He is our Savior, full of love and mercy, who removes fear and brings joy.
In the Gospel, John the Baptist teaches us how to prepare for Jesus’ coming: share with those in need, live justly, and avoid greed. John also reminds us of the power of the Holy Spirit, who transforms our hearts and lives.
St. Paul encourages us to rejoice in the Lord always, for His peace guards our hearts. As we prepare for Christmas, let us reflect joy, kindness, and generosity, showing that Jesus truly lives in our midst.
